Since 1994, Midwest Helicopter has been providing pilot training for those seeking to be FAA-certified as Private, Commercial, Instrument, or ATP-rated helicopter pilots. We also prepare pilots to earn their Certified Helicopter Flight Instructor (CFI) and Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII) ratings. We are the oldest and largest helicopter flight school in our area. Flight training is our primary business and we take it seriously.
Scenic Tours are available seven days a week by appointment. Whether you wish to see the historic areas of the city such as Forest Park, the Gateway Arch, St Louis’s most famous brewery or the bluffs in Grafton, IL, world renown for its eagle watching, Midwest Helicopter offers several tour packages to make it your once in a life time experience.
We are based at Spirit of St. Louis Airport (SUS), in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. Spirit is a tower-controlled airport that is ideal for flight training. Midwest Helicopter trains 7 days a week, 12 months a year. Spirit is also an excellent airport for Instrument and ATP training, with Multiple Instrument approaches on the field and at other nearby airports.
