Midwest Aeronautical Training, Inc. d/b/a Midwest Helicopter, Inc. was
incorporated in February of 1994 in the St. Louis, MO area as a
full-time pilot flight training facility. At one time, we offered both
fixed-wing and helicopter training, but in 2001 decided to specialize in helicopter pilot training and services exclusively.
We are authorized under 14 CFR Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) to provide helicopter pilot training for those seeking to be certified as Private, Commercial, Instrument, or ATP-rated helicopter pilots as well as training for those who desire to become Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) or Instrument Instructors (CFIIs).
We offer helicopter Instrument training, Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII) training, and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) training in our two Schweizer 300C & 300CBi Instrument Training Helicopters.
We are the largest helicopter pilot training facility in the Midwest and, as far as we know, the only full-time helicopter pilot training facility within 220 miles of St. Louis. We have provided training to over 350 student and rated helicopter pilots from over 15 states and several foreign countries.

We offer training both for Private Pilots and for Commercial Certificates for those starting a career as helicopter pilots. Unlike the airline industry, the demand for helicopter pilots is very strong, as our page on "Becoming a Professional Helicopter Pilot" explains.
Midwest also offers aerial photography services, helicopter rental to approved pilots, and other professional helicopter Services.
